Is play something we can only allow ourselves to enjoy once all our responsibilities are taken care of?

What if it were something far more important?

According to neuroscientist Jaak Panksepp, the PLAY system is one of the brain’s primary emotional systems. It supports connection, learning, flexibility, resilience, and trust. Through play, we find it easier to grow, collaborate, and stay connected with others.

And yet, in adult life, play is often the first thing to disappear. Caught up in work, responsibilities, raising children, or supporting others, we experience less and less lightness, spontaneity, and joy.
