How to Embrace and Regulate Feelings with Empathy
Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by your emotions and wish you could understand them better? Would you like to respond to difficult situations with more awareness, empathy, and choice?
Emotions are not something to fix, hide, or “manage away.” They are signals that tell us what matters, what hurts, what we long for, and what may need our attention.
In this webinar, we will explore emotions through the lens of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We will look at how to recognise and name feelings, listen to the needs beneath them, stay present when emotions become intense, and move from automatic reaction towards greater connection and conscious choice.
In this webinar, you will explore:
- how to understand and embrace emotions with empathy;
- how NVC can help us recognise feelings and underlying needs;
- simple ways to regulate yourself in difficult moments;
- how to respond with more awareness and choice.
The session will combine accessible theoretical input with reflection and practical tools that you can bring into everyday life and your work with others.
Who is it for?
The webinar is designed especially for youth workers, educators, facilitators, trainers, coaches, and other professionals working with people, but anyone interested in understanding emotions better and developing a more empathic relationship with themselves and others is welcome.
No previous knowledge of Nonviolent Communication is required.
The webinar is part of the Wellness Navigators project, co-funded by the European Union.
